I am Susan Barnard, a long time dancer, choreographer, performer, movement educator, and RN. I have my MA and MFA in Dance from SUNY College at Brockport and my CMA (Certified Movement Analyst) from the Laban/Bartenieff Institute for Movement Studies in NYC. I am an RN who values the integration of Mind, Body, Emotions, and Spirit. I value an interplay between the inner experience and the outer experience...what happens inside affects the world around me and what happens outside affects me on the inside. This goes back and forth continually. It is a lifelong process and I continuously discover more about life through movement re-integration and by moving in my daily world.
I am interested in working with individuals and small groups in the areas of movement re/integration whether it be coming back from an injury, muscle imbalances, improving performance in dance or sports, or just wanting to feel more connected.
I live a healthy life style including dance, exercise, nutrition, sleep, balancing rest and activity, and being present in life. With my RN, life skills, extensive somatic/movement/dance knowledge, and having raised 2 children, I am curious to explore and help others address and explore the above integration areas.
Please contact me if interested in anything that I may have to offer. Thank you!!! Susan
